Questions

ALL USEFUL GUIDELINE INFORMATION CONNECTED TO YOUR HOLIDAY WILL BE LISTED HERE.

Dear Tony  cc: Team Members
CHASING FOR UPDATES

Sorry to be a nuisance, re my earlier requests which you partly answered and promised to forward the necessary updates which I will repeat in this email.

1.      Quotation for the hire of your 9 seater and 14 seater per day.
2.      Q uotation for excursions (rough guideline rates).

3.      If one or two members want to go on a specific safari, can they join the daily/weekly trips organised for tourists, and what procedure is to be followed?  (How many days notice)?
4.      Your transport to pick us up from the Airport – appreciate the rate for the larger mini bus as on arrival we will be 9 in total plus our entire luggage.
5.      Any new restaurants you recommend opened up in Stone town. Also guidelines to rates.

6.      Are there other restaurants a bit further but worthwhile and not too expensive?
7.      Should we go on a jolly boat trip to Prison Island / Grave Island, can we do so with Nasser as before or via you. Rough costs for ½ where we may make it a picnic outing if all are interested.
8.      Update on Tanzania visas which we can get on arrival at the airport where in the past we had to pay US $25 per head which must be paid in cash. Is it still the same rate?

9.      Only checking – are there any other hotels in stone town worth considering instead of Tembo. (Tembo is still our 1st choice), just comparing daily rates between others.

10.   Planning a Sunday picnic – are facilities for ordering freshly cooked Biryani, Samosas or any other dishes still available as before. Appreciate some guideline prices.
11.   Are holiday makers allowed to take photographs freely everywhere, if restrictions in special places please advise.
12.   Our friendly mosquito – is it a must for all to take Malaria tablets. We have always done so in the past but planning to give it a miss this time.

13.   Purchasing drinks – over and above our duty free, is it easy to buy the booze. Is Rooky’s Black Label off-licence still open opposite the post office.
14.   Some time ago if you remember, I met up with the younger Goan folks at Uroa who promised to take me on a good fishing trip. Is fishing still a lively sport and if so should I bring my rod and reel, whilst in town I quite fancy a trip if the gang are still around. I could go with Nasser as he looked after all our diving trips in 2002 and knows all the good fishing spots but I certainly would only go if the Goan folks are around as they were a real fun group.
15.   Any useful information you can provide would be appreciated.
Tony, your kind help appreciated. Just quote No 1 with Answer, 2, 3, 4 etc. keeping it as brief as possible to save your valuable time.

We would like to complete our forward planning with a good idea re costs well in advance giving everyone a chance to plan and budget their own holiday.

Many thanks in advance.
Benny (on behalf of the team)
